The Mophato oa Mants'ase Society
building a brighter future for our children
As a group of concerned citizens, the professional and business people from Mohale's Hoek who had been asked to help first provided food, clothing and loving care for the children and saw to it that ememrgency building repairs were done.
In 2001, at a General Meeting of The Mophato oa Mants'ase Society, a new Board of Trustees was established and Board Members were duly elected.
Board Members continue to donate their time, making sure the needs of the children are being met. It is also their responsibility to get word out about the Mophato oa Mants'ase Society and Mants’ase Children's Home.

The above photograph was taken from the water reservoir.
The buildings on the left: the dormitories, kitchen and communal room. The building on the right: the old storeroom, hammer mill and a common washroom for boys and girls. The area in between is the playground. Not visible are two rondavels located behind the buildings on the left. These were used by the Director as his private room and office.
The new common room, kitchen and bathrooms (one bathroom for the boys and one bathroom for the girls) replaces the old store room, hammer mill and common washroom.
